The Theatre of Silence is an Italian open air amphitheatre which is located in Lajatico, Tuscany — the hometown of the classical tenor Andrea Bocelli. In 2006, Bocelli influenced the municipality of his hometown Lajatico to build the outdoor theatre, and contributed greatly towards its construction. The structure is composed by a circolar proscenium with an imponent sculpture of the polish sculpture Igor Mitoraj at the centre. Forward, there is a large parterre that can host up to 8000 seat. The theatre hosts a concert by Bocelli, its honorary president, once every July, only once a year, while remaining silent the rest of the year. For this shot, I choose a different point of view: I haven't captured the central proscenium: on the contrary, I point my lens on the near landscape that surround the arena: this is really a marvelous place characterized by the beauty of the tuscany's hills! In july, the tons of wheat's sheafs remind me a scene seen in ridely scott's "gladiator" If you came in italy and decide to visit tuscany, this is surely an outstanding place that deserve to be seen at least one time.
