My (milky)Way | Ventotene
Due to its position, Ventotene island is a place where the light pollution is very low, so, on my recent summer vacation, during san lawrence's night, I've tried to make a milky way shot: unfortunately i haven't my full lens equipment with me except my 55 1.8.
There is no questions, this is a great lens but surely not the best for a star shot: at this focal lenght, the max exposure time to prevent star trails is only 9 seconds.
Homevewer, the sight was really incredible: I've never seen so many stars in my life!
So, I've placed my tripod, setted the iso sensibility to 10000 and focused my lens on sagittarius constellation - This is the final result.
